Market Outlook and Competition: The collector car hobby is one of the largest and most popular hobbies in the world. The international has exploded with the weak U.S. dollar. Classic cars have become more and more a part of popular culture and are usually seen in advertising, movies and television. This has brought a new and younger demographic to the market. The classic and collectible car market has been on a strong upswing in recent years. Classic and collectible cars are now well regarded as legitimate investment vehicles. The baby boomer generation is now in a position to spend on recapturing its youth. With the weakening US dollar, foreign investors are finding these cars to be a real bargain and a significant portion of the business is selling cars to overseas buyers. There are no local competitors buying, selling and consigning collector cars at our level. The only close competitor is The Auto Collections at the Imperial Palace. While they stock upwards of 250 cars, their entry-level price is in the area of $40,000 and up. Most other similar dealers are also high end and primarily focus on exotics. Other car dealerships in town may have some classic vehicles in their inventory but with such small collection could not really be regarded as competition. There are only a few other qualified automobile appraisers in Las Vegas. Few have an office or regular business hours.
